Meet Martha
Martha Horrocks, MEd, CCC-SLP
Martha is an ASHA-certified Speech-Language Pathologist and the owner of Martha Speech & Consulting. She has earned three master's degrees - Elementary Education, Special Education, and Speech-Language Pathology - which allow her to relate to school-based SLPs, teachers, and special education staff members alike.
She has relevant experience in the school system and a thorough understanding of school-based support programs for children with communication differences.
Martha’s passion for working with children who stutter has given rise to her advocacy work on their behalf. She has been accepted as a Spero Ally of Stuttering™, acknowledging her active and intentional training in stuttering, involvement within the stuttering community, and commitment to continued training in the area of stuttering. Martha also owns her own therapy practice, Martha Speech & Stuttering Therapy, which focuses on providing evidence-based and neurodiversity affirming teletherapy to children with speech disorders. Her empathetic nature allows her clients to feel comfortable and safe exploring their communication strengths and challenges.
Martha lives in Maine, with her husband and their miniature schnauzer, Schatze. When she is not doing all things SLP, she loves to be outside going for walks, hiking, snowshoeing, and sailing!
